Purpose
Humanity finds itself in an age of unprecedented digital technological progress, which will continue to accelerate, bringing about not only beneficial transformations, but also profound challenges, likely to bring economic disruption. How should we position ourselves for a future of exponential automation across the various sectors of the economy? How should we reinvent ourselves to navigate the anticipated disruptions to organisations and associated impact on the social fabric? Much has been said about 4IR, and many initiatives are under way in response to the challenges imposed by the volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity characteristic of the times we live in. The 4IR Forum intends to be a proactive contributor in this respect, finding solutions through its collaborative platform and empowering people through co-created pathways.
